Hi, I'm Charlotte

Calligrapher, educator, and founder of Charlotte Script. Formerly known as Charlart Script. For over 10 years, I've dedicated myself to helping students discover the joy of calligraphy. I hosted some of Melbourne's very first calligraphy workshops back in 2017, and I am incredibly honored to have helped bring the popularity of calligraphy back into the modern world. With over 10 billion views and my videos shared by major global media companies, I am proud to be recognized as one of the world's most trusted calligraphy teachers.

My mission is simple: To make learning calligraphy accessible to anyone, not just for people already in the field.

I was also one of the first artists to bring calligraphic 'flourishing' into modern popularity. The most rewarding part of my journey has been taking the intimidating complexities of flourishing and turning them into accessible, step-by-step lessons. My focus is entirely on education—whether you're picking up a pen for the very first time or looking to refine your existing script, I am here to provide the guidance, resources, and support you need every step of the way.

This has been an excellent course for someone like me who is seriously invested in learning calligraphy. After taking several in person half day classes, I thought I already had a pretty good grasp of correct forms and techniques...boy, was I wrong. I struggled alot and was challenged everyday (in a good way!) . I feel confident that with the videos and more practice time I can absolutley do this. The 6 week course seems like the perfect amount of time to learn a solid foundation, so now I am going back to the start of the course to revisit many details that still need work. I am soooo glad I decided to take your course. I haven't regretted it one minute. The course is really great! Not too much text to read, the videos are nice and short and to the point. I also like how you “open” a specific part every week so there is time to practice without feeling the need to rush things. The worksheets are sooo handy. The build up of every letter is nicely explained into its composition of strokes. And it really motivates to get the strokes better and better. You have got me addicted 😂 The feedback given on the homework is of great value and motivates even more to battle inconsistencies or unwanting shapes. So thank you Charlotte for being my compagnon on this lovely journey called Copperplate calligraphy.
